Set the hours you need it. The rest of the time, it's immobilised.

Pro Install

  1. Choose your hours

    Pick the hours each day when it can be used, in UK time. Give different days different hours, or lock a day completely.

  2. It immobilises itself

    When the hours end, the starter is cut automatically, so it can't be started until they begin again. If it's still being driven at that moment, it keeps running until it's switched off, and you're told.

  3. Release it when you need to

    Need it out of hours? Release it from the app for 1 hour, 3 hours or until your hours start. Then the schedule takes over again, and every release is recorded in your activity log.

If the tracker is asleep when the hours end, the lock is sent straight away and applies the moment it next connects. Allowed hours come with Apex Pro Install, which includes the immobiliser, fitted by our installation partner RS Connect. More on allowed hours

Detect It notices first

The tracker watches for the ways vehicles are actually taken, and tells you before you'd ever notice yourself.

More on theft detection
Critical theft alerts
Arm your vehicle and, if the ignition turns on, your phone sounds a critical alert. On iPhone it cuts through silent mode.
Tow and lift detection
If the vehicle is moved or lifted with the ignition off, you're alerted, whether it's armed or not.
Tamper alerts
If someone unplugs the tracker from the vehicle's power, you're alerted straight away. A backup battery keeps it reporting briefly after the cut.
Arming on your terms
Arm automatically overnight, keep watch around the clock, or arm with one tap as you walk away.
Signal-loss notices
If the tracker picks up signal interference or goes quiet, you're told. It's a heads-up rather than an alarm, because underground car parks cause it too.

Respond You act from your phone

Keep it off the road when you're not using it, stop it being restarted, and keep a record of everything. Immobilisation comes with the Pro Install package, fitted by our installation partner RS Connect.

How immobilisation works
Allowed hours Pro Install
Set the hours a vehicle may be used, say weekdays 07:00 to 18:00. Outside them it's immobilised automatically, with an emergency release when you need it.
Remote immobilisation Pro Install
Immobilise your vehicle from the app and, once the engine is switched off, it can't be restarted. Only the starter is cut, so it never stops a moving vehicle. If the tracker is asleep, it applies at the next check-in.
Auto-immobilise on theft Pro Install
Switch it on and a confirmed theft signal, such as ignition while armed or a tow, immobilises the vehicle by itself. A false alarm is one tap to release.
Find car
One tap opens your phone's maps app at the vehicle's position, ready for walking directions.
Activity log
Every alert and event, timestamped in one feed. If the worst happens, it's the record you'll want to hand to the police.

MOT and tax reminders
Enter the reg and the app checks MOT and tax dates with the DVLA, then reminds you 30, 7 and 1 day before each is due.
Battery health
A low-battery alert before the morning it won't start, plus a two-week voltage trend and a check on the charging system.
Driver score
A score out of 100 for how each vehicle is driven, covering harsh braking, cornering and speeding, with a four-week trend. It appears after the first 20 miles.
Mileage and fuel cost
Daily and weekly mileage, with a fuel-cost estimate from the vehicle's DVLA data or your own MPG. Electric vehicles are left out of fuel estimates.
Weekly email summary
Every Sunday evening, an email with each vehicle's miles, trips, harsh-driving events and battery health.

    Apex Self-Install arrives pre-configured, ready to plug in on the vehicle battery. Or choose Apex Pro Install and our installation partner RS Connect fits it at your home or work.

  2. Link it in the app

    Sign in with the account you created when you ordered, then enter the IMEI printed on the tracker or its box. The SIM is already inside.

  3. You're back in control

    From the moment it's linked, the tracker is watching, and every feature is ready on your phone and the web.

Asked before you ask

Can I stop my vehicle being used outside certain hours?
Yes, with Apex Pro Install. Set allowed hours for each day in the app, and outside them the vehicle is immobilised automatically, so it can't be started. If you need it out of hours, an emergency release frees it for 1 hour, 3 hours or until the allowed hours start.
Do I need a mechanic to fit it?
Not for Apex Self-Install. It arrives pre-configured, so you plug it in on the vehicle battery, let it connect, then link it in the app using the IMEI on the device or its box. Apex Pro Install is fitted at your home or work by our installation partner RS Connect, because it's wired into the vehicle for immobilisation.
Will alerts reach me if my phone is on silent?
On iPhone, yes. Theft alerts are sent as critical alerts, which sound even when your phone is on silent. Android receives the same push alerts. Delivery depends on mobile network conditions.
Can it stop a stolen vehicle?
With the Pro Install package you can immobilise your vehicle from the app, or have it immobilise itself when a theft is confirmed. It cuts the starter, so once the engine is switched off it can't be restarted. It never stops a vehicle that's already moving, and if the tracker is asleep it applies when the tracker next checks in.
Does it work on motorbikes?
Yes. Apex Self-Install has a weatherproof casing that suits motorbikes and exposed mounts. When you link a tracker, the app asks whether it's on a car or a motorbike, and motorbikes are protected around the clock by default. Remote immobilisation comes with Pro Install, which is designed for cars and vans.
Can I track someone else's vehicle?
Only if you have legal authority over it. Apex Tracking is for vehicles you own or are responsible for, and it must not be used to track other people covertly.
