Asked before you ask

Do I need a mechanic to install it?

Your choice. Apex Self-Install arrives pre-configured — plug it in on the vehicle battery, let it connect, then link it in the app using the IMEI on the device or box. Apex Pro Install is professionally fitted at your home by our installation partner RS Connect, because it wires into the ignition circuit for immobilisation.

Will alerts reach me if my phone is on silent?

On iPhone, yes — anti-theft alerts use Apple's critical alert system, which bypasses silent mode, so an unexpected ignition wakes you. Android receives the same push alerts.

Can it stop a stolen vehicle?

With the Pro Install package you can remotely disable your vehicle from the app so it can't be driven off. The cut is safety-gated — it engages only once the vehicle confirms it is stationary or moving slowly, never at speed, and if the vehicle is parked it applies the moment the tracker next connects.

Can I track someone else's car?

Only if you have legal authority over the vehicle. Apex Tracking is for vehicles you own or are responsible for — it must not be used for covert tracking of other people.
