Critical theft alerts

The alert that refuses to be ignored.

Arm your vehicle in the app and the tracker watches the ignition. If it turns on while armed, the app sends a critical alert to your phone.

On iPhone, critical alerts cut through silent mode, so a 3am ignition wakes you, not just your lock screen. Android receives the same push alerts. Tap the alert and the app opens on that vehicle, so your next move is one tap away.

Alert delivery depends on mobile network conditions, so timing can't be guaranteed, but seconds rather than hours is the difference this system is built for.

Arming that fits your routine

On a schedule, always on, or the moment you tap.

Choose how each vehicle is guarded. Arm it automatically on a daily schedule, overnight for instance, leave it armed around the clock, or arm it instantly from the map as you walk away.

When you link a tracker, the app asks whether it's fitted to a car or a motorbike and sets a sensible default: cars are armed overnight, motorbikes around the clock, because bikes get taken at any hour.

Your choice sticks between app sessions, so a vehicle is never left unguarded by accident.

Theft detection suite

Thieves don't always turn the key. It watches for that too.

Whether or not your vehicle is armed, the tracker watches for the other ways vehicles get taken.

Tow and lift detection raises a critical alert if the vehicle is moved or lifted with the ignition off. A tamper alert fires the moment the tracker is unplugged from the vehicle's power, and its backup battery keeps it reporting briefly after the cut.

If the tracker picks up strong signal interference, which a jammer can cause, or stops reporting altogether, you get a notice rather than an alarm. Underground car parks, metal-clad buildings and patchy coverage cause both far more often than thieves do, so we tell you without waking you.

Remote immobilisation

Stop it being restarted, from wherever you are.

With the Apex Pro Install package fitted, you can immobilise your vehicle from the app or your online account, and release it just as easily.

Only the starter circuit is cut. A vehicle that's already moving keeps running normally, so it never cuts out on the road, but once the engine is switched off it can't be started again until you release it.

If the vehicle is parked and the tracker is asleep, the request waits and applies when the tracker next checks in. A request that isn't picked up within six hours expires, so it can't take effect unexpectedly later. Releasing is sent straight away.

Because it's wired into the starter circuit, the Pro Install tracker is professionally fitted by our installation partner RS Connect, included in the package price. Immobilisation is exclusive to Pro Install: the Self-Install package covers every other feature but can't immobilise the vehicle.

Auto-immobilise on theft

It can act before you've even woken up.

Switch it on for a vehicle and a high-confidence theft signal, the ignition turning on while armed or a confirmed tow, immobilises it automatically at its next check-in.

You still get the alert, with a one-tap release in case it was a false alarm, like someone in the family borrowing the car. It's off until you turn it on, and it's part of the Pro Install package.

Allowed hours

Decide when a vehicle can be driven.

Set the hours each vehicle may be used, say Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 18:00 and nothing at the weekend. Outside them it's immobilised automatically, and released again when the allowed hours begin.

Need it out of hours? An emergency release frees it for an hour, three hours or until the allowed hours start, then the schedule takes over again. Every release is recorded in the activity log.

As with all immobilisation, only the starter is cut, so a vehicle still being driven when its hours end keeps running and can't be restarted once switched off. You're notified when that happens. Ideal for work vans that shouldn't leave the yard overnight. Pro Install only.

One tap on Find car opens your phone's maps app at the vehicle's position, Apple Maps on iPhone and Google Maps on Android, ready for walking directions.

If your vehicle has been stolen, give its location to the police rather than going after it yourself.

Real-time GPS tracking

A live map, not a last-known guess.

Open the app and see exactly where your vehicle is on a live map, with its current state, moving, parked or offline, at a glance. Positions update within seconds of each report from the tracker.

If the worst happens, you can tell the police exactly where the vehicle is rather than guessing where it went.

Safe zones

Draw a line the vehicle shouldn't cross.

Set up zones around home, work or a yard and get a notification when a vehicle enters or leaves, usually within a minute of it crossing the edge. Quiet reassurance, without checking the map.

Trip history and activity log

Every journey and every event, on the record.

Trip history keeps a per-day log of every journey each vehicle makes. Open a trip to see its route drawn on the map, with start and end times, distance, duration and speeds, and any harsh-driving events pinned exactly where they happened.

The activity log sits alongside it: every alert and event in order, so you can see exactly what happened and when.

Speed-limit checks

See where a trip went over the limit.

Each trip is checked against the speed limits on the roads it used. Any stretch over the limit is listed with the road, the time, the speed reached and the limit, alongside a score for the trip, and stretches over 70 mph are marked on the route map.

Useful for keeping an eye on a new driver or a work van, and for your own driving too.

Everything in the app, in any browser.

Sign in at apex-tracking.co.uk/account with the same email and password as the app to see the live map, trips, alerts and insights on a bigger screen. You can immobilise a Pro Install vehicle from there too, after re-entering your password.

It's also where you manage your subscription.

Driver score and driving insights

See how each vehicle is really being driven.

Apex Tracking turns each vehicle's driving into a score out of 100, so standards are clear at a glance. Useful for family drivers and work vans alike.

The score is built from harsh braking, harsh acceleration, cornering and speeding, with a smoothness verdict and a four-week trend so you can watch it improve. It appears once the vehicle has covered its first 20 miles.

Mileage and running cost

What each vehicle covers, and roughly what it costs to run.

A rolling mileage chart shows how far each vehicle travels day by day, with daily and weekly totals and a days-driven count.

Alongside it, Apex Tracking estimates fuel cost in pounds using the vehicle's economy, either your own MPG figure or its official DVLA CO₂ data, and a fuel price you set. Electric vehicles are recognised and left out of the fuel estimate.

Weekly email summary

Your week on every vehicle, in one email.

Every Sunday evening, Apex Tracking emails a short summary for each vehicle, covering miles, trips, harsh-driving events and battery health, so you stay in the loop without opening the app.

Battery health and low-battery alerts

Hear about a flat battery before it strands you.

The tracker monitors your vehicle's battery voltage while it's parked and alerts you when it stays low, before the morning the engine won't start.

It also tracks battery health over time, with a two-week voltage trend and a Healthy, Low or Critical badge. By watching the charging voltage while you drive, it can flag a struggling alternator early, too.

MOT and road-tax reminders

The DVLA dates, handled.

Add a vehicle by its UK reg plate and the app looks up its tax and MOT status and expiry with an official DVLA lookup. Reminders arrive 30, 7 and 1 day before either runs out.
